Be a Bark Buddy
Our volunteers play a vital role at the Glass City Dog Park. Called Bark Buddies, they generously provide their time and talents, combined with their love of dogs, to make our community better.
Our volunteer program is designed to match your interests with our needs. Handy with a hammer? Got a flair for fundraising? Like to plan parties? Relish community outreach? We’ve got your ulti-mutt match! You can select one or multiple volunteer categories – whatever suits you best.
Here’s the list of ways you can get involved.
⦁ Park monitors. Our park monitors assist with new member orientations, as well as coordinating on-site park events such as small dog gatherings and training clinics.
⦁ Park stewards. Our park stewards help with park upkeep through weekly quick cleanups of sticks and trash (which you can do while at the park with your dog!), in addition to quarterly cleanups, which involve maintenance and repairs to the park’s grounds and structures.
⦁ Special events ambassadors. Our special events ambassadors lend a hand in preparation and onsite support for park-sponsored events. They also represent the park at Toledo-area community, and animal welfare and adoption events.
⦁ Fundraising leaders. Our fundraising leaders help generate dollars and acquire donations from local shops, companies and foundations. Experienced grant writers always welcome!
⦁ Special skills artists. Our special skills artists donate their abilities in carpentry, landscaping, web design, dog training, dog health & wellness and more to support our occasional and ongoing needs.
With your help, anything is paws-able! Please consider joining Bark Buddies today. To get started, send an email to volunteer@glasscitydogpark.org or fill out this form..
